Lovely London

Our flights in between Asia and Mediterranean Europe brought us to London Heathrow, so we decided to stick around for a few days. The weather had recently turned milder in England, so we walked all over the city to see some famous London icons and to visit some of Krista‘s favorite spots from her study abroad days, including: Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Kensington, Notting Hill’s Portabello Road Market, Krista’s old flat in Queensway/Bayswater, the Marble Arch, Harrods in Knightsbride, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Covent Garden.

It was a busy few days! Also, we grabbed some last-minute tickets to see the musical “Wicked” at the Apollo Theatre in Victoria. And to top it all off, we had lunch and ales at a traditional London pub with Scott’s high school British exchange student, Rich, whom he had not seen for thirteen years!

London was a blast and we definitely could have spent a week here. However, the British pound beat us up a bit, so onward to Greece!
